AUVSI Free Webinar: Security for Autonomous Tech

AUVSI Free Webinar: Security for Autonomous Tech

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host a webinar, “Protecting Mobility: Known AV Vulnerability Can Exist In All Vehicles,” on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at 1 p.m. EDT.

Yonatan Zur, CEO of Regulus, a software leader for smart sensor security, will explore the security requirements for safe satellite-based navigation for driverless technology, including cyber defense for GPS, anti-interference, anti-jamming and anti-spoofing systems.

In a recent automated vehicle test drive, a staged attack caused the car to suddenly slow down and unexpectedly veer off the main road. Regulus initially discovered the vulnerability during its ongoing study of the threat that easily accessible spoofing technology poses to GNSS/GPS receivers.

The researchers found that spoofing attacks could easily be carried out wirelessly and remotely, exploiting security vulnerabilities in mission-critical telematics, sensor fusion and navigation capabilities.

Registration for the webinar is available online and free for all attendees. Click here to register.
