Check out some of the fantastic photos editor Matt Boyd snapped at the U.S. National Drone Racing Championships, held on Governor’s Island off the tip of Manhattan right next to the Statue of Liberty this past weekend. It was an impressive spectacle in a picturesque setting, and sports powerhouse ESPN was on-hand to broadcast the action with the help of the guys at LiveRC. It was a great event — exceptional skills and and bleeding-edge tech was everywhere! The crowds were totally blown away, and even jaded drone vets couldn’t help but be impressed. Congrats to the Drone Sports Association (DSA) for stepping up to put on a first-class event in one of the most important, high-profile markets on the planet!
